Environmental Justice
Bayview Hunters Point has long been burdened by industrial pollution and environmental injustices. Our program empowers residents to advocate for cleaner air, safer land use, and just economic development through community-led action.
Policy Advocacy
We train cohorts of environmental advocates and support community-led research to shape local policies. Programs like the Southeast Community Council and Community Toxic Index enable residents to document exposures and drive change.
Community Emissions Reduction Program (AB 617)
Under California's Assembly Bill 617, we collaborate with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to develop a Community Emissions Reduction Plan. This plan addresses major pollution sources—industrial facilities, transportation corridors, and waste management sites—to improve air quality and public health.
